HustleGPT Challenge

- PLUS: AI's impact on cancer care, Evaluating Startup Exits with Ai and much more!

Hey guys, this is beeps. This is our first Letter ever! Can't wait to show you all the great stuff we have planned for you! In this edition we explore GPT-4 “#HustleGPT” challenge, AI's impact on cancer care, Evaluating Startup Exits with Ai and much more!

Let’s do this!

Who knew that using ChatGPT could be so profitable? Jackson Greathouse Fall, a brand designer and writer, went from having 4,000 Twitter followers to over 96,000 in just a matter of days. How did he do it? By using OpenAI's GPT-4 in an entrepreneurial venture. Fall created an "entrepreneurial AI" in the GPT-4 and set it on a mission to turn $100 into as much money as possible. The results were shared on a Twitter thread and the rest is history. Now, other GPT-4 users are joining in on the fun and sharing their own "HustleGPT" experiences under the hashtag #HustleGPT. This shows that there's an audience fascinated by how others are using GPT-4 to make money and it might just be the start of a new trend!

AI is changing the way cancer patients are diagnosed and treated. Patients can now access algorithms that help them find the best treatment, hospital, and survival chances. This is causing a shift in the traditional doctor-patient relationship as AI is giving patients the ability to access information that was once only known by doctors. Companies like Outcomes4Me and PotentiaMetrics are using AI to analyze medical records and present patients with treatment options in plain English. This is causing a change in the traditional doctor-patient dialogue. Canadian researchers have even developed an AI algorithm that predicts the survival rates of cancer patients with 80-90% accuracy. Although AI is not close to replacing doctors, it is poised to radically change the way care is provided and is bringing transparency to medicine.

So PitchBook has launched a new tool that uses AI to predict which startups will exit successfully. The tool, called the VC Exit Predictor, generates a score based on the probability that a startup will be acquired, go public, or not exit due to becoming self-sustaining or experiencing an event that prevents an exit. The tool was developed using a proprietary machine learning algorithm and was back-tested on a historical set of companies with known exits, with an accuracy rate of 74%. But like any predictive tool, it's not perfect and has limitations, including the possibility of amplifying biases in the data on which it was trained and struggles with unpredictable events like a pandemic. So, investors, don't rely on this tool exclusively, and always do your due diligence.

In case you haven't noticed, technology has kind of taken over the world. And thanks to the pandemic, we're more reliant on it than ever. But there's a problem - apparently, there aren't enough humans to build all the tech we need. That's where AI comes in. AI is like the superhero of the tech world, swooping in to save the day when we need software developed at lightning speed. It can spot mistakes, predict what code developers are going to write, and even understand what users want (sometimes better than the users themselves). And the best part? AI can do all of this without breaking a sweat (or taking a bathroom break).
